We are entirely blissed out with the news of a guided airport yoga studio by Yoga on The Fly at Denver Airport. There are many yoga studios in North America and a whole bunch of airport yogis. After all, we all know pre-flight stress is a reality of travel. And ultimately, yoga is a great way to relax pre-flight.

Many airports around the world have private rooms where travelers can practice yoga. While a few are in exclusive lounges, most of them have dedicated spaces. Several airports have also experimented with temporary spaces. Furthermore, there are free teacher-led classes twice a week at Santiago de Chile Airport.

These new yoga and meditation rooms by Yoga on the Fly are set to open November 6, 2017, at Denver International Airport (DEN) in Colorado. The company was founded by, Elizabeth Feinstone, and Avery Westlund—who we met virtually earlier this year. With over a decade of experience and entrepreneurship between them, their dream of a guided airport yoga studio will soon become a reality!

My favorite features of the guided airport yoga studio:

1. There are five private mini studio rooms.

Many yoga studios at airports are one large room where everyone comes to practice. The private space is excellent for one-on-one reflection. Not to mention, total peace.

2. It’s the world’s first-ever guided airport yoga.

Yoga sessions happen via instructional videos on iPads. A guided airport yoga session can range from  8-to-20 minutes with an allowance of time extensions. Wireless headphones and rubber mats from Yoga by Numbers are both provided. The mats feature numbered target spaces and gridlines that help correct you positioning and alignment in poses.

3. They feature personalization to support your wellness goals.

The studio will have wellness advisors to help select a program that’s perfect for you. Our favorite feature by far! Ultimately, having a recommended guide to keep you on track is so important for your fitness.

4. It’s much more than just yoga.

We’re aware that traveling can be stressful. For this reason, the programs will also include a variety of de-stressing techniques such as breath-work and meditation.

5. There’s no need to worry about luggage.

These yoga rooms have spaces to store your luggage. As a result, you don’t need to worry about where you’re going to leave your carry-ons. This is convenient and makes it easy to get into zen mode.

6. Freshen up at their Beauty Bar Essential Area.

Presumably, you’ll be a bit sweaty after your practice. For this reason, guests can freshen up at the Beauty Bar Essential area! There will be facial cleansing towels, face mist, toner, hand lotion, hand sanitizer, and essential oils for a little pick-me-up on the way out.

7. You can shop a variety of wellness products.

Sessions cost from $15 to $60, depending on your time. The yoga studio at Denver International Airport will be open Sunday – Friday, 7:00 am – 9:00 pm, and Saturday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm.
